Two armchairs face an open arched French window the entire Paris skyline stretching beyond, the Eiffel Tower rising in a soft morning haze. Clean, architectural, and quietly breathtaking.
There were mornings when they did not need to go anywhere. The two chairs, the open window, the city laid out below this was enough. More than enough.
Étienne drew this on one of those mornings. She was still asleep. He sat in his chair, looked at hers, and drew what he saw the two chairs facing the same view, one occupied and one waiting.
The most minimal and design-forward piece in the collection. Equally at home in a modern interior or a classic one a piece of great compositional clarity and quiet beauty.
