Spring arrived and painted the street pink before Étienne had a chance to. The Eiffel Tower appears ghostly and blue through the blossom surrounded by pastel buildings and a bicycle left by someone who clearly did not want to leave either.
Paris in spring is a collaboration between the city and the season and spring usually wins. One morning in April the street outside their apartment was entirely pink, the cherry trees having done overnight what it would have taken Étienne weeks to paint.
The tower appears softly in the background, pale and blue, almost shy behind the blossom. A bicycle leans against a fence. A couple walks in the middle distance. The sky is wide and gentle.
A piece full of hope and new beginnings perfect for a bedroom, hallway, or any space that could use a breath of Parisian spring.
